Historic downtown with exceptional country clubs and alluring luxury lakeside properties.
In Mooresville, you get the best of both worlds. Hidden away in the trees yet only 30 minutes away from Charlotte, Mooresville’s unbeatable lakefront landscape allows you to relax into your own solace while also accessing the vibrant downtown scene. Perfect for families, professionals, and retirees alike, there’s something for everyone in Mooresville. Enjoy the town’s shopping, dining, and outdoor activities that make life feel like a vacation every day.
With the charm of a small town and the luxury of a bigger city, Mooresville’s lakefront homes are spacious, private, and modern. If you prefer to have some distance from the water, you can find extensive communities in Mooresville concealed in the trees and woods. The perfect mix of nature and comfort, this town is filled with families who want to enjoy the lake life while also tapping into the upbeat downtown scene.
You could not ask for better dining options in Mooresville. Epic Chophouse in downtown Mooresville has the best steak and a great bar, perfect for adults and families (ask about the secret hidden menu!). If you’re looking for a great dinner or brunch, On the Nines Bistro overlooks the golf course and has cinnamon rolls during their brunch service that are to die for. Fresh Chef is a top healthy lunch or dinner option with delicious salads, blackened salmon, and the best post-meal key lime bar. If your favorite cuisine is Italian, look no further than Caruso’s, a high-end Italian restaurant that will make you forget you’re not in Italy! Side tip…you have to make a reservation, so plan ahead. Another great brunch or dinner option is Havana33, a Cuban restaurant where you’ll love everything you try – the pastries and manchego salad are my favorites. This beautiful restaurant on the lake is a town favorite. And, of course, we could never forget dessert – when you’re ready for a sweet treat, you can head to Jeremiah’s, where we go weekly (don’t judge, we know it is a true problem) for Italian ice.
River Highway in Mooresville offers all of your everyday shopping needs – from Home Goods to Ulta to Target or Hobby Lobby, and everything in between; you’ll get your day-to-day shopping needs satisfied in Mooresville. Close proximity to Charlotte and Huntersville means that if you’re looking for more high-end stores, they are all within arms reach.
You’ll never run out of things to do if you’re living in Mooresville, especially since it’s surrounding the lake. Boat clubs and boating are huge parts of the Mooresville culture, and if you don’t have your own boat, there’s nowhere better to go than Lake Effects Boat Club when you make the move. Country clubs are popular here, as they allow residents to enjoy outdoor activities like golf, tennis, and pickleball. Mallard Head Country Club and Trump National Golf Club at The Pointe are two country club favorites. For kids and families, there are plenty of parks, green spaces, and other entertainment options, like go-carting, movie theatres, and nature animal reserves. Of course, you can always head downtown for an evening walk when you’re looking for a bit more liveliness in your evening. One thing unique to Mooresville is the bar in the middle of the Lowes Foods Grocery Store! You can actually grocery shop and enjoy a glass at the same time. It’s a town favorite to hang out on a Thursday night with 60 friends and have a half-off glass of wine or beer on tap – all in the middle of a grocery store. Who knew living in Mooresville would be so fun?
