Denver

Welcome to Denver

Laid-back Southern lake town boasting privacy and country living along Lake Norman

Located on the West side of the lake, Denver has a more rural feel than most of the other Lake Norman communities. Quiet, serene, and private are all perfect ways to describe the beautiful town of Denver. Denver is the place to be for those looking for a home on the lake without all of the hustle and bustle and a bit less traffic on main roads.

The Denver Real Estate Market

As it is less built up than the East side of the lake, Denver’s real estate offers great value for money. However, that is quickly changing and would be considered an incredible investment where home prices will continue to increase overtime.  The market is picking up in Denver, with new home builders adding condos, townhomes, and luxury estates on or near Lake Norman. You can expect to find various large and small lakefront homes and properties including acres. For those who love the outdoors, and enjoy motorsports, this side of the lake is perfect for you.

Dining & Shopping

Upscale restaurants and shops are not a big part of the Denver culture, but you can still find plenty of charming and casual places to eat and shop around the town. Lake Norman Mercantile & Creamery is the town’s general store, with homemade ice cream and different artisanal gifts and goods. For more gifts, you can head to The Red Barn Marketplace, a gift shop in, you guessed it, a big red barn. For your everyday fruits and vegetables, Fresh Market Produce is open every day and has a wide selection of fresh produce. For those special occasions or simply if you want a bit of variety, you can always take the 20-30 minute drive to Charlotte, Mooresville, Cornelius, or Davidson and take advantage of the incredible restaurants and shops there.

Things to Do

Dining and shopping may not be the main attraction in Denver, so what is? Denver residents are known to spend time outdoors and on the lake. Motorsports are a huge draw, with homeowners having more property to make their own bike courses right in their backyard. Fishing, boating, jet skiing, hiking, biking, and mountain biking are all regular activities in this small town. If you like to play tennis, you’re in the right place, as Denver is home to the beautiful Westport Swim and Tennis Club, right along the lake. While Denver is located on the quieter west side of Lake Norman, there is easy access to the lake’s north, south, and east sides from the town, making it a prime location for all things lake life.
